But if you are a long time follower from Blogspot, you may or may not remember my post about forgiveness and Chris Brown. Well, one would have to have lived under a rock to miss that, like predicted Chris Brown and Rihanna reunited last year, and became an official couple on Christmas Day when they appeared court side at a Lakers game. (or whoever was playing that day)

If you know that, then you are also aware of a third party to that relationship aka Karrueche. Or at the time she was his unofficial girlfriend. Now since then Chris announced on public radio that Rihanna and Karrueche knew he was messing with them both. To which, I give a side eye to my homegirl Rihanna but hey… she wanted her man back and did what she had to do. Karrueche played her victim role up until that point and decided to remain the friend… and business partner in a still yet to be released fashion line.

Okay… I’m truncating, synopsing, and shortening so keep up with me okae?

But… Karrueche is never asked to leave the condo that belongs to Chris Brown and one can assume he pays the mortgage, HOA fees, utilities, taxes etc for… and then it is revealed that the very expensive Porsche was allegedley paid in full and placed in her name. That’s not all. He allegedley paid to have her car repainted, gets her managed by his former management team, and secretly meets with her for “business purposes”.

Now, things seemed fishy but I guess just like Rihanna I wanted to believe that Chris Brown had his act together and that society… (read white media and public) were targeting him for the 2009 domestic violence incident against Rihanna. Now we must remember he appeared on Larry King and various outlets appearing to be remorseful and paid restitution via his community service in VA (all sorts of worms are being revealed on that but…).

I will admit that I never knew the full details of the incident because I did not want to pick a side… but we all know at some point a side must be taken. Even the devil had to.

Well, apparently folks were watching. Not just Rihanna, but her fans and stans and at some point she began pulling a “you on you” and Sir Brown was unable to take. Hey the relationship is over … for now… or good… but the fact that Chris Brown is attempting to vilify Rihanna by insinuating the woman he claimed to love deeply and would never hurt again is a whore doesn’t sit well with me. Not as a former supporter, a woman, and more.

Not only has he added to his harem or stable of “ladies” but we see Karrueche (who he has also disrespected) has returned. And his gang that includes CBE, OHB and randoms are allowed to engage in such behavior is disgusting. None of these folks have as my grandmother says “a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out” without Christopher.

From attacks from his artists with unreleased music and/or albums to his friends without verifiable sources of income it boggles me how Chris Brown believes his previously much anticipated album X will fare on the charts. Fine China, the first single of the album did not fare well despite his link to Rihanna and now that he has polarized himself against her staunch supporters I wonder if it’s worth him doing anything musically at this point.

I sincerely hope he focuses on being the best person he can be and avoid the bitter, malevolent, sneaky unmanly attacks against Rihanna. Whore or not… he slept with her… and countless other females during his open relationship with Karrueche (most caught on tape).

Not only that, but with a sold out Diamonds World Tour, sold out lipstick Riri Woo venture with MAC (and more collections to be released in June), a sold out collection with UK based River Island (Summer Collection launches May 25th), a resigned music contract with Roc Nation and Def Jam, movie scripts … I’m sure Rihanna has not the time to worry about Chris Brown, OHB, and CBE. What are they doing with their 24 hours?

Arena Cinema Hollywood, a new 92 seat commercial venue for independent films, invites distribution companies, filmmakers and producers with recently completed feature length films to submit entries for upcoming theatrical exhibition release in the influential Los Angeles market. The intimate cinema venue is designed to serve a growing need in the entertainment industry for economical and successful ways independent films can be exhibited and concurrently for filmmakers to self-distribute their films.

The access to affordable prosumer cameras and post-production software has effectively given filmmakers all over the world the ability to make feature films at a very low cost. However, this has also created a gamut of films competing for screens at a time when art house theaters are reducing in numbers.

Distributors such as IFC Films, Tribeca Film, First Run Features, Breaking Glass Pictures, Mousetrap Films and Kino-Lorber have been quick to embrace Arena Cinema and what it offers their distribution business models, since the venues December soft- launch opening.

Christian Meoli of Voltaire Media, who runs and operates the cinema stated the following: “I felt there was a need in Los Angeles for a smaller venue that worked economically for all involved and could commercially present independent films for one and two-week runs.”

Meoli has seen too many distributors and filmmakers, producing very worthy films, become paralyzed as to what they should do for theatrical exhibition and with Arena Cinema, they can go-direct and distribute in an affordable manner in the entertainment capital of the world in the most economical manner possible.

The Arena is modeled to present one-week theatrical runs, which is in accordance with the specifications from media outlets such as the Los Angeles Times for garnering reviews and aligns with recent Academy Award rule changes, which stipulate that qualifying films receive reviews from the New York Times or the LA Times to qualify. Christian Meoli said that the theater’s four-walling option (that is, self-distribute or pay for your exhibition without help from a distributor) was used by 6 films so far in 2013, and each one of them got a LA Times and LA Weekly review.

Scion has announced that their lifestyle gallery and retail space on Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles, called the Scion A/V Installation, will host cult fashion label Hood By Air for a month long installation opening May 18.

“Scion’s goal is to continually support influential and emerging artists with the opportunities and resources that otherwise might be unavailable to them,” says Jeri Yoshizu, manager of sales promotions at Scion, “Hood By Air was a brand we felt would really embody the conceptual retail experience we set out to deliver through this gallery space.”

The Scion A/V Installation is a retail and gallery environment that merges Scion product and lifestyle for the first time by offering consumers the opportunity to test-drive vehicles from the space itself. “Scion A/V Installation is a step in a more interactive direction for the retail gallery,” says Yoshizu, “The focus of the space is affordable artwork, and limited edition products. Adding a test drive component moves Scion and our art initiatives closer to each other than they’ve ever been.”

The Scion A/V Installation project will bring New York City based fashion label Hood By Air to the west coast for the brands first pop up retail installation. “The partnership between Scion and Hood By Air was a natural step for the cultural strategy we focus on,” explains Jeri Yoshizu, manager of sales promotions at Scion, “Scion A/V hosted a concert in Brooklyn with A$AP Rocky. It was during an interview with the rapper that we first began the Hood By Air conversation. It became clear that this would be a perfect partnership to shed light on the work we are doing at Scion and also support these emerging talents across the music and art worlds.”

The Scion A/V Hood By Air pop up exhibition, entitled “MORPH,” will serve as the debut of a capsule luggage concept collection and feature three silicone art objects inspired by hiking luggage, tattooed skin and jewelry piercings as the focal point for the exhibit. On May 18th the Scion A/V Installation space will be transformed into a space reminiscent of a high school locker-room wherein the limited edition products will be sold for the duration of four weeks. Scion A/V has partnered with Hood By Air to produce an entire inventory of limited edition Hood By Air items that will sell within the space, including but not limited to the coveted Hood By Air Classics t-shirt collection in never before seen color-ways, backpacks, posters, water bottles, Emory boards, small accessories and more.

The opening reception of the Scion A/V Presents: Hood By Air “MORPH” will be held on Saturday, May 18th from 7 – 10 p.m. at the Scion A/V Installation, located at 7667 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036.

The Hood By Air exhibit will be present within the Scion A/V Installation space for the duration of four weeks following the opening reception and close on June 16th.

Step 1: Create a side part.
Step 2: Smooth all of the hair with a CHI Hairstyling Iron.  Direct hair ends inward with the iron.

Step 4: Part the hair into 3 sections one in the back and 2 side sections using your side part as a guide.

Step 6: Roll the back section up and inward at the nape.  Pin to create a faux bob.

Step 8: Shape the fringe into a smooth wave on the right side of the face.  Secure with a hair clip and spray with Farouk Royal Treatment by CHI Ultimate Control Hairspray.  Let sit for 10 min or until set and remove the clip.
Step 9: Add accessories for extra ’20′s flair.
